Introduction:
India IT Club is an industry body managed by IT industry representatives based in Japan. The first India IT Club meeting was held in November 15, 2000 at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo with the participation of around 44 Indian IT professionals based in and around Tokyo. The idea behind forming the Club was to organize meetings amongst Indian IT professionals in Japan and to establish a platform for the exchange of ideas and opinions. Subsequent meetings of the India IT Club incorporated participation of members from Japanese companies who are interested in building networks with Indian IT companies. Later on, from November 2002, management and running of the IT club was handed over by the Embassy to the IT industry representatives. The Club now has more than 170 members.Core Values:
The India IT Club stands for and strongly supports the underlying values - Leadership of Indian IT in the IT services market in Japan, responsibility towards India, act as a salesman for India, co-existence with the Japanese business practices while maintaining the integrity of Indian business practices.Core Purpose:
Broadly, the purpose of the India IT Club is to to build and project the Indian IT sector's image in Japan, to promote Indian IT companies in the country and to provide help to Japanese companies with information on Indian IT. The Club also aims to provide information on India visas and other travel related information. It also seeks to promote the exchange of information between the two nations.The Core Group:

India IT Club Meetings:
The India IT Club holds its meetings once in every two months at the Indian Embassy, Tokyo, or at other locations in various parts of Japan. These meetings, which are attended by individuals associated with the IT industry and representatives of around 100 IT related companies, both Japanese and Indian, include presentations by prominent experts and business leaders in the field of In formation Technology and are followed by a business exchange dinner at the Embassy. The bi-monthly IT Club meetings are also held to coincide with high level visits of IT related dignitaries from India. The IT Club meetings also provide a platform for information sharing and business networking.
